Mental Health Awareness Week 2023: Art For Anxiety Exhibition

This year’s Mental Health Awareness Week’s (15th-21st May) theme was anxiety.

Anxiety is what we feel when we are worried, tense or afraid and is a natural human response when we feel that we are under threat. But, sometimes anxiety can become a problem – especially when it impacts your ability to live your life as fully as you want to.

“For me, anxiety feels as if everyone in the world is waiting for me to trip up, so that they can laugh at me. It makes me feel nervous and unsure whether the next step I take is the best way forward”

Our #ArtForAnxiety campaign to mark Mental Health Awareness Week highlighted art as one way of helping with anxiety.

Below you can find all the wonderful pieces that you sent in. From Bromley to Rochdale, and from rugs to poems, we were absolutely blown away by the response.
