YODAs perform at the iconic Old Vic

Our Young Onset Dementia Activists (YODAs) joined children from Sir Francis Drake primary school in Lewisham to perform a medley of Christmas songs as part of the theatre’s 12 Choirs of Christmas on Friday 9 December.

The YODA choir with BLG Mind staff and volunteers, and staff from Foresters Financial.

The multi-generational choir sang a host of much-loved classics in the foyer of the iconic theatre, including Winter Wonderland, Jingle Bell Rock, White Christmas and Let it Snow.

Bromley Dementia services manager Saira Addison said: “It was such a lovely event, and so heart-warming to watch our YODAs and the primary school children singing joyous songs together.

“I would like to thank everyone involved at the Old Vic, the children and staff of Sir Francis Drake primary school, our MindCare volunteers, the team from Foresters Financial in Bromley who came along to support us and, of course, our wonderful YODAs for the part they played in creating an event which embodied the true spirit of Christmas.”
