The Role of Community Mental Health Services in Recovery – AGM 2016

The Bromley & Lewisham Mind Annual General Meeting (AGM) 2016 will take place on Wednesday 9th November at 3pm at the St Laurence Centre, 37 Bromley Rd, Catford, SE6 2TS.

The emphasis will be on the important work done by community based mental health services in supporting people to manage the challenges of life and achieve their goals.

Guest speakers will be:

Dr Rachel Perkins

A Psychologist and former Clinical Director of a Mental Health Trust, with personal experience of living with mental health problems.

Rachel speaks compellingly about empowerment, peer support and living well with mental health problems.

Dr Jim Sikorski

A GP in Sydenham and a mental health lead for Lewisham Clinical Commissioning Group, who also chairs local mental health charity Sydenham Garden.

Jim knows well the difference that community support can make to people he sees in his surgery.
