Young Mindful Mums Space

Young mum holding baby at young mums group

Having a baby isn’t easy at the best of times, and having a baby when you’re also a young mum can bring additional difficulties to navigate.

Our Young Mindful Mums groups for 16-22 year olds will help you navigate the path of new parenthood and provide a safe space for parents of babies 0-12 months to talk about the complexities of parenting and issues related to their wellbeing.

We also have relaxed and friendly monthly walks where you can connect with other young mums.

About the group

The Mindful Mums Postnatal group is a supportive, five-week course for mothers aged 16-22 who have babies 0-12 months old.

Led by trained volunteers with their own lived experience of being a young mum, the group offers emotional and wellbeing support, as well as the opportunity to connect with other new mums in your area.

Upcoming Young Mums Space

The groups are open to mums aged 16-22 who have babies 0-12 months old.

NB: Because this is a Lewisham-funded initiative, priority spaces are given to Lewisham residents; however, parents from Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth and Southwark are welcome too if space is available.

Course length: five weeks

When: Thursdays 1:30-3pm, 25 April – 27 June 2024

Where: Bellingham Family Hub, 109 Randlesdown Road, SE6 3HB

NB: Booking is essential due to limited spaces; places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
