LGBTQ+ Parents Space

Couple with baby

Having a baby is rarely without its challenges, but having a baby when you’re also LGBTQ+ can bring additional experiences and difficulties to navigate.

We know how much it can really help to meet other parents, with the same experiences, to share the load with.

This is a series of relaxed meet-ups to make connections with other LGBTQ+ parents and build a supportive community.

About the group

LGBTQ+ Parents Space is an informal coffee and play session where parents can connect in a relaxed and non-judgmental space.

LGBT Foundation Pride in Practice SEL Mind: Mindful Mums & Being Dad has been awarded Silver for excellence in LGBTQ+ inclusion April 2024The groups are led by trained volunteers with their own personal experiences of being a LGBTQ+ parent and managing the challenges of early parenthood. As well as being a place to share similarities and celebrate differences, the courses offer an opportunity to connect with other parents and learn tips and techniques for looking after your wellbeing.
