The Wellness Centre encourages people who have or are experiencing mental distress to adopt a healthier lifestyle.  Sporting Recovery is an exercise programme for people aged 18+ and in need of support and encouragement to become more socially and physically active.
Sporting Recovery’s programme promotes structure and social interaction in people’s daily lives by integrating sports, nutritional advice and education into an accessible form.  The programme involves physical activity, free lunch and opportunity to take sport or food hygiene courses.
Activities available:  Football, Non-contact Boxing, Basketball, Indoor Short Tennis, Weight Training, Tai Chi / Qi Gong, Yoga, Badminton, table Tennis and Dance.
Entry is by referral only.  Referrals can be made by any health related multi-disciplinary teams, Community Psychiatric Nurses, OTs, Care Coordinators, Housing, Probation, GPs and Drug & Alcohol agencies or Job Centre Plus.  There is a referral form on the website.
The Wellness Café has sandwiches, salads & smoothies.  They provide support and information about nutrition and healthier lifestyle options.
There are volunteering opportunities Peer Mentoring, for adults with lived experience of mental health issues.
There are some sport qualification courses.

Opening times:
Every Wednesday, 12noon - 4pm, in school term time.

They ask clients to use their personal budgets if available. If no personal budget, donations of £2 or £3 are also welcomed and this will include provision of lunch.
