Penrose provide residential and non-residential services for men who are ex-offenders with mental health problems, and others, who would benefit from more intense support to regain choice and control, recover or rehabilitate.
They work with a range of individuals and families including those:

  • recovering from mental health
  • who may have offending backgrounds
  • who have diagnosed personality disorder
  • who are affected by homelessness
  • who misuse substances including drugs and alcohol
  • who are being sexually exploited
  • needing support in their own homes
  • those experiencing social isolation
  • those with a learning disability, autism or challenging behaviour.

Services include – Mental Health Recovery; Community Based Floating Support; Personality Disorder Service; & a Criminal Justice Service.

The Focus Project is a resettlement support service for men with a mental health illness, history of offending and complex needs. The service is based across 5 sites in Lambeth and offers high, low and medium support depending on service user need. They support clients to move on to independence or lower-supported accommodation for up to 2 years.
They work with clients to develop their own recovery plan based around the SLaM and Lambeth support recovery model and Recovery Star.  They enable this through a range of support programmes and work collaboratively with other organisations within Lambeth to help service users to reintegrate into the community.  They reduce and minimise risks of re-offending and keep the community safe.  Their early intervention in the management of mental health relapses reduces the cause of long term hospitalisation.
