Black Thrive

Black Thrive take a holistic approach to address the causes of mental ill-health. They believe social factors such as access to housing, education, employment and so on, can have an impact on people’s mental health and wellbeing. In response to this, Black Thrive brings together Lambeth’s Black communities and service providers to reduce the inequality and injustices experienced by Black people in mental health services.

Although Black Thrive does not provide services they connect people and organisations and support these partnerships to achieve change in the community. They also work closely with the NHS, the local council, the police and the voluntary sector to make sure change happens within the centre of these institutions.

On Fridays from 4 pm – 5 pm, Black Thrive hosts a community drop-in via the Zoom online platform. Come and connect with the team and tell them how you are doing during this time of crisis.

The best way to keep up to date with what Black Thrive is achieving in the borough of Lambeth is to follow them on social media platforms. They are on TwitterInstagram and Facebook. The monthly newsletter gives you the best information about what they are doing but also what else is happening in the world of mental health.  The most recent newsletter is on the website.  To join the mailing list please click here.
